Mumbai, June 30, 2023 - The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has revealed significant developments in the ongoing investigation of actor Sushant Singh Rajput's death case. The Bollywood star was tragically found dead at his Bandra apartment on June 14, 2020. Since then, the CBI has been diligently working to uncover the truth behind his untimely demise. In a recent update, the agency disclosed that it is eagerly awaiting a response from the United States regarding crucial technical evidence.

According to the latest report published in Hindustan Times, the CBI formally requested assistance from tech giants Google and Facebook, headquartered in California, in 2021. The agency sought access to deleted chats, emails, and posts related to Sushant Singh Rajput. By analyzing these details, the CBI aims to gain deeper insights into the events surrounding the actor's death. This collaborative effort is made possible through the mutual legal assistance treaty (MLAT) between India and the US, which facilitates the exchange of information for domestic investigations.

A CBI official, speaking on the condition of anonymity, stated, "We are currently awaiting a response from the United States regarding this crucial technical evidence. Its findings may play a pivotal role in bringing the case to a conclusive end. The investigation remains pending until this matter is resolved." However, senior advocate Vikas Singh, representing Sushant Singh Rajput's family, dismissed the CBI's claim, expressing his lack of awareness regarding the request for technical evidence. Singh voiced his concerns, alleging that the CBI is intentionally prolonging the investigation, asserting, "They are trying to give a slow death to the case."

In a recent interview with Republic TV, Maharashtra's Deputy Chief Minister, Devendra Fadnavis, addressed the progress of the investigation, stating, "Initially, the information available to us was primarily based on hearsay. However, certain individuals claimed to possess substantial evidence related to the case. In response, we reached out to them, urging them to provide the evidence to the police. Currently, we are in the process of evaluating the credibility of the submitted evidence. The investigation is still underway, and it would be premature for me to comment on the final outcome of the case at this stage."

Meanwhile, Sushant Singh Rajput's last film, "Dil Bechara," was posthumously released, captivating audiences with his final on-screen performance alongside Sanjana Sanghi in a prominent role.

As the CBI awaits a response from US authorities and continues its meticulous investigation, the quest for justice in the Sushant Singh Rajput death case remains a matter of utmost importance to both his grieving family and the Indian public.
