Mumbai: The country seems to have already buzzing with the election fever and while the political parties turn towards the Bollywood for support, the industry has few celebrities who themselves are not eligible to vote.

These star kids have to stay aloof from the elections. Reason? They cannot vote!

Even as they do not belong to the Indian nationality and have some other issues, they have been thriving on the nation’s expense and in return in no way particular can they contribute in electing leaders.

In slide ahead: Newstrack.com brings you some famous names who are not eligible to contribute in the electoral process of the country.....

Imran Khan:

He was born in Wisconsin, USA but moved to India after his parents -- Ajit Pal and Nuzhat Khan -- got divorced but he is still an American citizen with an American passport.

As Imran is a US citizen, apparently, he has never been able to cast a vote during the elections but he says that he encourages voting like his Mamujuaan!

Katrina Kaif:

The Hong Kong-born actress is one of the highest-paid actresses around the world. She possess a British nationality has been working on an employment visa for almost a decade now.

Born to a Kashmiri father and British mother in Hong Kong, Katrina lived in places like Hawaii and London before shifting to Mumbai.

Alia Bhatt:

The bubbly girl may be one the top most actresses in industry at present, but when it comes to casting a vote, there comes a serious problem. If you think it is something to do with her age, no, Alia is not under age. The real reason lies in she being a British Passport holder.

Alia, however, recently said that for the election’s next year she would definitely be trying to get hold of a voter’s ID with a dual citizen.

Well, this may be a problem as in India you cannot have a dual citizenship.

Jacqueline Fernandez:

No one is unaware of the actress being a non-Indian. This Bollywood beauty though earns in India, she possess a Sri-Lankan passport.

After representing Sri Lanka at the Miss Universe pageant, she turned her attention to Bollywood and made her debut in Sujoy Ghosh’s Aladin.

She shuttles between Mumbai and Colombo.

Evelyn Sharma:

She grew up watching Hindi films dubbed in German.

The Bollywood bubbly girl was born to a Punjabi father and German mother the actress has a German passport and has been working in the country on an employment visa.

Three of her films released this year namely, Nautanki Saala, Yeh Jawani Hai Deewani and Issaq.

Nargis Fakhri:

The model-turned-actress holds an American passport and her mother is Czech while her father is of Pakistani origin. She was born in New York City.

She made her debut opposite Ranbir Kapoor in Rockstar in 2011.

Sunny Leone:

The Canada-born Sikhni is applicable for Overseas Citizenship Of India (OIC).

The actress holds a Canadian passport.

After making her debut in Jism 2, she appears keen on Bollywood projects.
