Baahubali 2 is also a "Baahubali" at box office!

Mumbai: Breaking the Indian Box Office records, the mighty Baahubali 2: The Conclusion has surpassed Rs 400cr mark worldwide in its opening weekend.

Filmmaker Karan Johar, who has presented the Hindi dubbed version of the film, tweeted: "Historic Weekend! Here is the Hindi language all-India Friday (Rs 41 crore), Saturday (Rs 40.5 crore), Sunday (Rs 46.5 crore). Grand total Rs 128 crore."

Trade analyst Taran Adarsh tweeted: "The wave is unstoppable. 'Baahubali 2' creates new record."

With these figures, Baahubali 2 has beat Bollywood biggies Salman Khan's Sultan and Aamir Khan's Dangal.

Salman's Sultan had collected Rs 105.53cr in opening weekend, while Dangal had amassed Rs 107.01 crore.

Filmmaker SS Rajamouli's magnum opus film is the sequel to the 2015 blockbuster film Baahubali: The beginning that left an unanswered question - Katappa Ne Baahubali Ko Kyu Maara? (Why Katappa Killed Baahubali?)

Baahubali 2 was released in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu and Malayalam in over 6500 screens across India, and in 9000 plus screens worldwide.

The film stars Prabhas, Anushka Shetty, Rana Daggubati and Tamannaah in the lead roles.
