Gurugram: Valuing the sentiments of armed forces and soldiers, the Gurugram administration on Wednesday postponed the Concert of Atif Aslam which was scheduled to be held here on October 15.

The members of Akhil Bhartiya Hindu Kranti Dal wrote a letter to Gurugram Deputy Commissioner T L Satyaprakash, which reads," During an event if any incident took place then the district administration will be responsible for it. The administration is playing with the sentiments of the country by permitting Pakistani artists to perform. On the one hand the soldiers are sacrificing their lives at the border because of Pakistan-sponsored terrorism and on the other end the district administration is inviting them here as guest."

The national general secretary of ABHKD said," We are not against art but we also can not ignore the fight on the border. In such a critical situation, their is no sense to organise any of the program of the Pakistani artists."

Replying to the letter, Satyaprakash wrote," As the sentiments of the armed forces are concerned the concert should be deferred. There are also chances of Public Protest or incidents like shoe-hurling."
