Mr & Mrs Smith part ways, Angelina files for divorce from Brad

Los Angeles: Putting an end to one of the Hollywood’s highest profile wedding, actress Angelina Jolie has filed for divorce from Brad Pitt.

“Citing irreconcilable differences, Angelina on Monday filed for dissolution of marriage with Brad and the decision has been made for the family’s health,” confirmed Robert Offer, the actress’s lawyer. He also said that the actress did not wish to make any comments and sought privacy at this point of time.

“Angelina is a wise lady and she will always choose the best of options keeping her family’s well-being in mind,” said the Mr and Mrs fame actress’s manager Geyser Kosinski in a statement.

It may be mentioned that it was Brad’s third marriage having previously tied the knot with Jennifer Anniston while Angelina’s third after Billy Bob Thornton and Jonny Lee Miller.

Other highlights:

• The couple had been with each-other since 2004 but entered the wedlock in August 2014.
• They have six kids together namely Pax, Maddox, Zahara – who are adopted – as well as biological children Shiloh, Vivienne and Knox.
• According to insiders, the actress is seeking physical custody of the kids and asking the judge to give visitation rights to Brad.
• Brad (52) and Angelina (41) had married privately at the hamlet of Correns in France’s Provence.
