Amitabh Bachchan, Abhishek tested corona positive; Jaya, Aish negative

Bollywood megastar Amitabh Bachchan and his son and actor Abhishek Bachchan have been tested positive for COVID-19. They showed mild symptoms and have been admitted to Mumbai's Neenavati hospital late on Saturday.

Jaya Bachchan and Aishwarya along with Aaradhya have been tested negative, said the hospital sources.

The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) will sanitize Big B's residence 'Jalsa', which is located at Mumbai's Juhu. BMC Mayor Kishori Pednekar, in a statement, said, "Amitabh Bachchan's bungalow 'Jalsa' will be sanitized today."

Amitabh himself tweeted about his positive corona report. In his tweet, he said, "I have tested CoviD positive .. shifted to Hospital .. hospital informing authorities .. family and staff undergone tests , results awaited ..All that have been in close proximity to me in the last 10 days are requested to please get themselves tested!"

Abhishek too informed about his health on Twitter. He said, "Earlier today both my father and I tested positive for COVID 19. Both of us having mild symptoms have been admitted to hospital. We have informed all the required authorities and our family and staff are all being tested. I request all to stay calm and not panic. Thank you. "
