Actors Rakesh Bapat and Ridhi Dogra call it quit, confirm separation

“Yes, we are living separately. This decision has been taken with mutual respect and care for each other and our families. We are two best friends who may not be a couple anymore. But our friendship will continue as it always has, through thick and thin. Appreciate if no further speculation is made and heartfelt gratitude to everyone for all the love you have always given us.”

Actors Rakesh Bapat and Ridhi Dogra call it quits, confirm separation

Mumbai: All is not well between TV actors Raqesh Bapat and Ridhi Dogra who are living separately for some time now. The couple has amicably called it quit. The actors tied the knot in 2011, after year long courtship.

An official statement by Ridhi and Raqesh read “Yes, we are living separately. This decision has been taken with mutual respect and care for each other and our families. We are two best friends who may not be a couple anymore. But our friendship will continue as it always has, through thick and thin. Appreciate if no further speculation is made and heartfelt gratitude to everyone for all the love you have always given us.”

As per sources close to the couple things were not good between the two of them for quite a long time and they have been living separately, already. Their common friends knew about it and efforts were also made ton restore their relationship, but apparently things didn’t fall in place and the couple decided to separate.

The couple met for the first time on the sets of the popular TV show Maryada — Lekin Kab Tak in 2010, and soon became close friends. Both the actors have earlier spoken about how they felt connected from day one, and enjoyed spending time with each other. After a year of meeting, they decided get married.

Ridhi and Rakesh are considered to be one of the most adorable couples of small screen. Together they have also featured in couple dance reality show Nach Baliye where they swayed the audience with their lovely moves.

While their marriage is hitting a rough patch, newstrack.com wishes both the actors peace and mental strength to cope up in these testing times.
