Mumbai: The poster of Director Ayushman Keshu’s upcoming film ‘2006 Varanasi- The untold’ left its audience intrigued about its story line and, being the last film of veteran actor Om Puri, this movie has gained a lot of attention even before its release. Further, the release of the first look of its main lead actress, on Wednesday, has raised the expectations of the audience about the film being one of its kinds.

The poster depicts beautiful Bengali actress Raima Sen, who is essaying the films female lead-as terrorist, dressed up in two different attires where she can be seen wearing a gracious blue saree and the reflection of which is her wearing a ‘Hijab’.

The story is said to be based on true events of tragic Varanasi blast which took place on March 7, 2006 at the Sankat Mochan Hanuman Temple and Varanasi Cantonment Railway Station, with total casualty of over 140 people.

Other facts:

Raima Sen is making a comeback in Bollywood with this movie.

This movie is one of the last works of legendary veteran actor Om Puri where he was playing the role of a narrator as well as that of a writer.

Even though Puri had completed all his scenes he, however, could not complete his dubbing which was later done by actor Tigmanshu Dhulia.

Other than Om Puri and Raima Sen, the film also stars Rahul Dev, Ravi Kishan and Mukul Dev among others.
