UGC changes rules for Assistant professor

University Grants Commission released new rules for all assistant professor’s posting in higher education institutions. According to the rules, National Eligibility Test (NET), State Eligibility Test (SET) and State Level Eligibility Test (SLET) has become mandatory for postings.

Manish Joshi, UGC Secretary Professor had released this information on 30^th June 2023 and has been applied from July 1^st 2023.

Jagadesh Kumar, UGC Chairman confirmed it with a tweet in which it was said that Ph.D will be optional for assistant professor post in higher institute.
