Journey: Life and Passion at IIT Bombay

Growing up with a fascination for planes and rockets, Aryank Banoth's journey from childhood sketches to his fourth year at IIT Bombay is nothing short of inspiring. In this blog post, we delve into his story of passion, perseverance, and the vibrant life at one of India's premier institutes.

Aryank's early exposure to engineering tools, thanks to his parents, set the stage for his future endeavors. Soldering at the age of 8, building his first robot, mastering CAD design, and programming laid the foundation for his engineering aspirations. His relentless pursuit of knowledge led him into the world of JEE coaching and consolidated schooling from Class 8.

The journey to crack JEE was demanding, with rigorous study schedules and dedicated hours. Aryank's discipline and hard work paid off when he secured a coveted spot in IIT Bombay's aerospace engineering program. The dream he nurtured since childhood was now within reach.

Life in IIT Bombay presented a new set of challenges. The initial transition from online classes to campus life tested Aryank, but he soon found his footing. The campus, with its blend of technical, cultural, and sports activities, offered a plethora of opportunities. Mumbai's vibrant atmosphere added to the experience, providing a perfect balance between academics and recreation.

Aryank's involvement in technical activities at IIT is commendable. Actively participating in competitions, building over 40 unique drones, and securing the first position in the Institute Technical Summer Project 2022 showcase his dedication. His internship in an aerospace company further fueled his passion, setting the stage for a future in UAV technology and aerial robotics.

Reflecting on his IIT journey, Aryank acknowledges the personal growth and lessons learned. Independence, resilience, and confidence were instilled through balancing studies, projects, and extracurricular activities. The camaraderie built with friends and the exposure to quality teaching in aerospace engineering enriched his experience.
