HTET 2023: Results, Insights, and What's Next

The recent announcement of the Haryana Teachers Eligibility Test (HTET) 2023 results has stirred curiosity and anticipation among candidates. The Board of School Education, Haryana (BSEH), declared the results on its official website - bseh.org.in, opening doors to a new chapter for successful candidates.

The HTET exam, conducted on December 2 and 3, 2023, comprises three levels catering to candidates aspiring to teach different classes. Level 1 targets those aspiring to teach classes I to V (Primary Teacher), Level 2 is for classes VI to VIII (TGT - Trained Graduate Teacher), and Level 3 is for those aiming to be a PGT (Post Graduate Teacher).

To download the HTET December 2023 result, candidates need to follow a straightforward process:

The official website provides direct links for each level, ensuring a seamless experience for candidates.

Post the initial results, the Board introduced grace marks in the Hindi and English sections, particularly focusing on grammar-related questions. This decision impacted a total of 6542 candidates across all three examination levels.

The HTET results, initially standing at 10.67%, saw a significant increase to 13.52% post the inclusion of grace marks, marking a 2.85% rise. During the results announcement, Dr. VP Yadav, Chairman of Haryana School Education Board, and Secretary Jyoti Mittal shared valuable insights. In Level-1 PRT, 21.74% of candidates succeeded, while Level-2 TGT and Level-3 PGT saw pass percentages of 12.93% and 8.89%, respectively.

A comprehensive look at the statistics reveals that out of 229,223 candidates who participated in the HTET examination, 159,268 were women, 69,923 were men, and 32 were transgender individuals. The overall pass percentage, accounting for the grace marks, stood at 13.52%.

Delving deeper into individual levels, Level-1 PRT witnessed a 26.16% pass percentage for men and 19.57% for women. In Level-2 TGT, the pass percentages were 15.87% for men and 11.66% for women. For Level-3 PGT, men achieved a 9.22% pass percentage, while women achieved 8.75%.

The official website now hosts the final answer keys for all three levels, providing transparency to candidates who contested questions (options) from question numbers 31 to 60 in the language part of all three levels—Hindi and English. The Board's thorough examination confirmed that all questions in this section were related to grammar and well within the prescribed syllabus.

To prioritize candidate interests, the Board considered the average marks obtained by candidates out of the remaining 120 marks, excluding the language part Hindi and English, constituting 30 marks. Candidates surpassing the average marks in this section were included in the result, reflecting their obtained marks in the final outcome.

As candidates celebrate their success and contemplate the next steps in their teaching journey, the HTET 2023 results not only signify an academic achievement but also a testament to perseverance and dedication. The future holds promising opportunities for these educators as they contribute to shaping the minds of tomorrow.
