Common Service Centre for payment of fee by students from remote areas to 17 varsities

These universities had tied up for academic services with five lakh Common Service Centers which have been set up in rural panchayats. These services will be completely free for the students.

In a huge relief to the students, who live in remote, far flung areas and villages, the central government has established Common Service Centres at panchayats across the country where these students can pay fee, get admit cards, take admission and fill online applications for exam of 17 universities, including the prestigious Banaras Hindu University and Delhi University.

These universities had tied up for academic services with five lakh Common Service Centers which have been set up in rural panchayats. These services will be completely free for the students.

Manish Joshi, Secretary Professor of University Grants Commission (UGC) wrote a letter to the state education secretaries and vice chancellors of the universities in this regard.

17 universities include Delhi University, Banaras Hindu University, Indira Gandhi National Open University, National Institute of Open Schooling, Amity University Noida, Symbiosis International University Pune, Shri Vishwakarma Skill University Haryana, Odisha University of Agriculture and Technology, Sant Longowal Institute of Engineering & Technology, Utkal University and National Institute of Open Schooling will provide these facilities to the students.

UGC has also shared the officers’ names, E-mail ids, and contact number of every Common Service Center with the universities. Universities and high educational institutes have to upload these information on their official websites for any further enquiries.
