CAT admission test on November 26
The question paper in CAT 2023 exam will be divided into three sections. The first section will be Verbal Ability and Reading Comprehension, the second section will be Data Interpretation and Logical Reasoning and the third section will be Reasoning and Quantitative Ability.
The Common Admission Test (CAT) will be conducted by IIM Lucknow on 26th November. The admit card for this exam will be released on October 25, which candidates will be able to download from the official website.
There is only one month left for the CAT exam, so it is expected that the candidates' preparation for the exam will be in the final stage. At the same time, it is very important for the candidates appearing for this exam for the first time to understand the pattern of CAT exam and its marking scheme.
The question paper in CAT 2023 exam will be divided into three sections. The first section will be Verbal Ability and Reading Comprehension, the second section will be Data Interpretation and Logical Reasoning and the third section will be Reasoning and Quantitative Ability.
Quantitative Aptitude will have 22 questions for 66 marks, Verbal Ability and Reading Comprehension will have 24 questions for 72 marks and Data Interpretation and Logical Reasoning will have 20 questions for 60 marks. Candidates will be given 40 minutes to attempt one section. You will get 120 minutes for the entire paper. Please note that candidates will be able to move to another section only after attempting one section. Candidates will not be allowed to switch without attempting.
CAT exam is a computer based exam. A total of 100 questions will be asked in this exam. CAT exam will be held in three sessions. The first session exam will be held from 8.30 am to 10.30 am, the second session exam will be held from 12.30 pm to 2.30 pm and the third session exam will be held from 4.30 pm to 6.30 pm.
The candidate will get 3 marks for each correct answer. One mark will be deducted for giving wrong answer. However, there will be no negative marking for non-multiple choice questions.
