CA final result 2016 out; Lucknow girl tops with 74.88% marks

Lucknow: Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) announced the CA final result 2016 and Common Proficiency Test (CPT) result on Tuesday.

Lucknow-based Eti Agarwal topped the ICAI CA examination 2016 with 74.88 per cent marks (599 out of 800), among the 7,192 candidates who qualified the examination, held in November 2016.

Piyush Ramesh, from Bhiwandi Maharashtra, got All India second rank with 71.75 per cent marks, followed by Ahmedabad's Jyoti Mukeshbhai at third position, who earned 70.75 per cent marks.

Eti Agarwal, who scored 98.75 per cent marks in Intermediate from ISC board in 2011, was a student of La Martiniere Girls College. She had scored 100 per cent marks in Maths and Commerce subjects.

She cleared the CPT in 2011 itself, and topped IPCC in 2013. She took her B.Com Hons. degree from Shri Ram College of Commerce in New Delhi.

Her father, Vipin Agarwal, is also a Chartered Accountant (CA).

According to the ICAI website, the CA final results can be checked on the official website, icaiexam.icai.org.

The CA Final examination was held in November 2016, while Common Proficiency Test (CPT) was conducted in December 2016.
