Basic Shiksha Parishad stalls recruitment of teachers

Allahabad: After the Uttar Pradesh Union Public Service Commission (UPPSC), the Basic Shiksha Parishad has stalled the recruitment of teachers, on the Uttar Pradesh government's directive.

The decree has given a major jolt to the candidates who were waiting for their appointment letters. Significantly, the recruitment for 77,816 posts of teacher in Basik Shiksha Parishad was underway and the department had already issued appointment letters of around 70,000 candidates.

The information about the government order was given by the Joint Secretary of the Basic Shiksha Parishad.

The Yogi Adityanath government has apparently taken the step on suspicion of irregularities in the recruitment process during the erstwhile Samajwadi Party regime.

It is also being said that the government took the step on reports of anomalies in the appointments to benefit candidates of a specific caste.
