Articleship to become CA reduced by one year
According to ICAI president Aniket Sunil Talati, the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India has prepared a new plan of education and training in line with international education standards and the National Education Policy 2020 (NEP) after considering inputs from various stakeholders.
The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) has prepared a scheme of education and training for Chartered Accountants. It will launch by 1st July 2023 in India. Under this scheme, the articleship has been reduced from three years to two years.
According to ICAI president Aniket Sunil Talati, the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India has prepared a new plan of education and training in line with international education standards and the National Education Policy 2020 (NEP) after considering inputs from various stakeholders. The aim is to create global professionals.
In the new scheme, the first foundation exam will be held in June 2024 and intermediate and final exams will be in May 2024. The last foundation exam will be held in December 2023 and Intermediate and final exam will be in November 2023.
