To make it easier for students studying engineering and management to find jobs, the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) has entered into an agreement with jobs and professional networking platform Apna.com (apna.com).

AICTE signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Apna.com on the occasion of the launch of Swayam Plus by Union Minister of Education, Skill Development and Entrepreneurship Shri Dharmendra Pradhan.

During this program, Higher Education Secretary Shri Sanjay K. Murthy, AICTE Chairman Professor T.G. Sitaram, UGC Chairman M Jagadish Kumar, NCVET Chairman Dr. Nirmaljit Kalsi etc. were present.

This strategic partnership will ensure students from AICTE approved institutes access to placement services through 'AICTE Career Portal'. This is an important element of this partnership. This portal will bridge the gap between talented students looking for jobs and employers looking for their workforce. This will enable students to avail of a wide network of job and internship opportunities. This portal will also provide the facility to create resume and prepare for interview with the help of AI.

During this, AICTE Chairman Prof. T.G. Sitaram said this partnership aims to reshape the future of college placements in India by democratizing everyone's access to career opportunities.

Under the MoU, Apna.com will be responsible for the design, development and maintenance of AICTE Career Portal for 5 years. This will provide graduate students with access to a wide range of internships and Indian and international employment opportunities.

On this platform, the facility of creating a resume with the help of AI, real-time notification for new job opportunities as well as community connect will also be available. Apart from this, by the third quarter of 2024, the facility of AI-aided tools and salary assessment for interview preparation in various industries will also be available on the portal.
