Message of a Government Railway Loco Pilot to his Guru

I am Indrayan Kumar, Father- Shri Baban Paswan, Mother- Late. Nisha Devi is a resident of Nasriganj in Rohtas district of Bihar state. I am currently working as Senior Loco Pilot at Patna Junction. I am sharing my short biography with all of you along with what circumstances I faced in reaching till here and the people who contributed in my success.

So it is about the time when in 2009, I passed the matriculation examination from Bihar Board with 79.2%. I had become the first member of my family to get such high marks. The family members were very proud of me. Because in the environment in which I grew up, there was no relation of education far and wide. My financial condition was very pathetic but in spite of this my parents did not allow any shortage.

A few days later, in the month of May 2009, my friends who were from a wealthy family started going to Patna or Kota, but I was not capable enough, so I thought of coaching in Bikramganj, Bikramganj is a city near my village and I am Bikramganj. Enrolled in AS COLLEGE.

One day when I was going to Bikramganj by bus, some boys were talking among themselves that there is a teacher RK Srivastava sir who teaches very well and like Patna Kota teachers, in less money and those who are poor family students, they have to spend their expenses. It provides many facilities. We remember that my friend of poor family, Rajneesh was enrolled in Intermediate by Sir with his own money, now Rajneesh is a COMMANDO in STF.

Now let's come back again, but at that time Sir's quotation was very famous "to make Rohtas a Kota" I thought after hearing all this, no matter what happens, we have to meet Sir and read the same because all our friends who had money were those quotas. and went to Patna. I was determined that I have to study with Sir and we have to do better than my friends who had gone to Patna Kota.

What was then, I went to Sir, at that time the name of Sir's coaching was IIT JEE. I met sir, after meeting sir it felt like it really felt like full Kota, Patna this has come. Such was the passion of studies that what to tell, Sir's talk is really unique. There was a different passion for studying in night classes, it was not known when it used to be morning from night.

For the first time in my life I had seen such a teacher. Laughing and having fun, he used to solve good questions in a fun way. The benefits of this hard work are still visible in my life. The time spent with Sir and the things that were guided, I have woven everything like a thread in my life. Sir always stood by me financially.

What did RK Srivastava say after reading the letter

It feels good when a little seed takes the form of a plant. But the real happiness comes when we have a tree laden with sweet fruits. A similar feeling came to Mathematics Guru Rk srivastava when Indrayan, son of Baban Paswan of Nasriganj in Rohtas district of Bihar state, came to meet Guru with a box of sweets in the joy of getting a job in loco pilot (railway).

Indrayan belongs to a very poor family financially, whose father would have been able to arrange food for his family in some way, but in today's inflation, he would not be able to pay the expenses of further education to the children. Bihar Board of indrayan scored 82% marks in the 10th examination. Indrayan with his father came to study at RK Srivastava's institution.

His gaurdians told about his financial situation, but RK Srivastava felt very happy seeing the son's longing to teach and his marks and the institution connected indrayan to the institution at the same time. After two years of study, the students of that batch appeared for IIT JEE, aieee, bcece. In which Jagjit (chhotu) of Dawath Dihra got iit, Mukesh of Kwath got NIT, Abhishek of bikramganj and prakash of Durgadih got success in bcece. But indrayan did not result in any engineering entrance exam.

Due to which he started feeling very disappointed, then RK explained to him that your career is not over yet, you have a lot of ways ahead, just keep trying. One day jagjit came to meet RK Srivastava, he asked him about the indrayan, where is he living, how is his condition, he told that he was running 12 hours of night classes to make you aware of the suggestions and self-study. Now his work is coming.

He is doing self study by staying at his village and says that he will go to meet Sir only after getting the government job. Today comes the day when he first gave the pleasure of getting his job to his Guru RK Srivastava and took sweets from him. Came to meet and said that your 12 hours of continuous teaching helped us. You taught us better how to do self study. Your hard work and motivation has been our success mantra.

Who is RK Srivastava?

He has given wings to the dream of hundreds of poor by getting them admitted in reputed institutes of the country including IITs, NITs, BCECE, NDA. Despite the lack of resources, the place that RK Srivastava has achieved today by starting teaching and the speed with which he is progressing on that path, turning poor students into engineers, is less appreciated. President Ram Nath Kovind has also very impressed by the educational working style of RK Srivastava and praised him.
