This is the third time in the year when Hero has increased its price. Earlier in March, prices of select models of motorcycles and scooters were increased by 2% due to new emission norms.

If you are planning to purchase a two-wheeler this festive season, then get ready to pay more money because Hero MotoCorp, owner of the most popular two-wheeler Hero, has increased the price of the bike by one percent impacting some of its vehicle by October 3, this year.

According to the company statement, increasing input cost is the main reason behind the hike in the price. This is the third time in the year when Hero has increased its price. Earlier in March, prices of select models of motorcycles and scooters were increased by 2% due to new emission norms. After this in July, the prices of vehicles were increased by 1.5%.

The company said that prices would be decided on the basis of different models and markets. The price hiking in motorcycles and scooters is a part of the company's periodic price reviews. The company also insured that it will give some new offers for the customers convenience.

The company has achieved 3% growth in its sales in September this year. During this period a total of 5,36,499 vehicles were sold out while 5,19,980 vehicles had been sold out in September last year.

Hero MotoCorp had sold out 4,94,270 motorcycles and 42,229 scooters in September this year, as against 4,80,237 motorcycles and 39,743 scooters was sold last year.

The company's domestic sales were 5,19,789 units and exports were 16,710 units in September 2023 which was 5,07,690 units and exports 12,290 units stood in September 2022.
