One woman died and more than 15 people were injured when the stage collapsed during the Jagran organized in the Kalkaji Temple complex in Delhi.

According to the information, the incident happened around 12.30 in the night. After receiving information about the incident, the police admitted the injured to a nearby hospital, where they currently undergoing treatment. It is being said that permission for Mata Jagran was not taken from the administration.

A video of this incident is also going viral on social media. In this video, famous Bollywood singers are seen singing bhajans during Jagran, when suddenly a part of the stage is seen falling on some people sitting below. After this incident came to light, the injured were immediately admitted to a nearby hospital.

Bollywood singer B Praak has also released a video message regarding this incident that happened in Kalkaji temple. He has said in this video message that when this incident happened, I was singing bhajans there.

Police officials said, "Mata Jagran was organized at Mahant Parishar, Kalkaji Temple, which is being organized for the last 26 years. No permission was given to organize the programme. However, there were adequate staff to maintain law and order. At around 12.30 in the night, a crowd of about 1500-1600 people had gathered there."

Officials said that a raised platform was built near the main stage to accommodate the families of the organizers and VIPs. The platform was made of wood and iron frame. At around 12.30, the elevated platform tilted downwards as it could not bear the weight of people sitting/standing on the platform. Some people sitting under the stage were injured. All the injured were admitted to AIIMS Trauma Center and Safdarjung Hospital and Max through ambulance.

So far 17 people have been injured. A woman, around 45 years old, was brought dead to Max Hospital, whose identity is yet to be ascertained. Two persons took the deceased to the hospital by auto. Efforts are being made to identify the deceased. The condition of all the injured is stable, some have suffered fracture injuries.
