Severe cold wave conditions continued to persist across the Northern parts of the country. Severe cold wave continues to wreak havoc in Bihar, Haryana and Uttar Pradesh.

There was light rain in the country's capital Delhi amid severe cold. Due to falling temperature and dense fog in Delhi, train-flights are also being affected. According to the Meteorological Department, there is going to be light to dense fog in Delhi tomorrow. At the same time, winter is showing its strength in the hilly areas. The cold wind from the mountains has increased the cold in the plains.

The effect of snowfall is being seen in many states including Rajasthan, UP, Bihar, Punjab, Haryana and MP.

According to the forecast of the Meteorological Department, there was light rain in Delhi and surrounding areas on Wednesday morning. Today there has been light rain in Delhi, Noida, Ghaziabad and other parts. Due to this, there is hope of immediate relief from bone-chilling cold and fog. Indian Meteorological Department had predicted light rain in some parts of Delhi.

Even on Wednesday, passengers traveling by train and plane are not going to get any relief. Due to Republic Day preparations and dense fog in the capital, more than 150 flights have been delayed at Indira Gandhi International Airport. Indian Railways said that around 20 trains were affected due to dense fog on Tuesday. Even on Monday, 26 trains were running late.

Due to snowfall in the mountains, the mercury is continuously falling and the cold continues in the entire North India as well as in the central and eastern parts of the country. While Bihar is in the grip of severe cold wave, Haryana and UP are also experiencing severe cold. Even in Rajasthan, winter has become intense again in the last two to three months. Traffic is also being affected a lot due to fog at many places. Due to the maximum and minimum temperatures being below average, people are feeling bone-chilling cold.
