The national capital Delhi is still wrapped in cloud of smog. However, some improvement has been recorded in AQI on Tuesday compared to the previous day on Monday.

According to the Central Pollution Control Board, on Tuesday the air quality index was recorded at 432 in Anand Vihar, 437 in RK Puram, 410 in Moti Bagh and the highest at 439 in Punjabi Bagh. Seeing the outbreak of pollution, people are imprisoned in their homes.

Earlier, the air quality of the capital remained in 'severe' category for the fourth consecutive day on Monday. According to the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB), Delhi and its adjoining districts are not expected to get any respite from the poisonous air any time soon.

According to the board, this was the first time that air pollution in Delhi reached the severe category this season. After this, on the advice of Air Quality Management Commission, Delhi Government has implemented odd-even formula for vehicle operation in Delhi to reduce pollution. Due to this, the rules for vehicles running on the roads of the capital will change. Odd-Even in Delhi will be applicable after Diwali from 13th November to 20th November.

Also, after the primary schools in Delhi, now all the schools from 6th to 9th and 11th class will also remain closed till 10th November. In view of the board exams, classes 10th and 12th will continue. All schools have been given the option to take online classes.

These decisions were taken in a high-level meeting chaired by Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Monday to review the pollution situation. Environment Minister Gopal Rai said after the meeting that under Odd-Even, the last digits on odd dates are only 1, 3, 5, 7, 9 and on even dates, the last digits are 0, 2, 4, 6, 8 etc.

Only vehicles with number plates of Rs. In this regard, a detailed action plan will be made in the meeting of Transport Department and Police today i.e. on Tuesday.
