Cold and fog in Delhi-NCR today, problems for drivers due to low visibility

There was no respite for the people in Delhi-NCR as severe cold accompanied by dense fog reduced visibility to a few metres causing immense problems for the commuters.

The entire North India including Delhi has been experiencing severe cold for the past few days. Today is the last day of January, but there seems to be no respite from the cold wave and fog at the moment.

The scourge of winter is not stopping in Delhi-NCR. Amidst the cold wave, people are in bad condition due to bone-chilling cold. It is becoming difficult to even step out of the house.

A video of fog has surfaced today from Delhi, which showed that the visibility is very low. The condition in Noida is also worse due to cold. People driving on the road are facing a lot of problems.

The effect of fog and mist is most visible on trains and flights. Due to dense fog, passengers are facing a lot of difficulty as many trains are delayed and canceled at Anand Vihar Railway Station.

Winter in Delhi has broken the record of the last 13 years. The average maximum temperature till January 30 was recorded at 17.7 degrees, which is considered to be the lowest in the last 13 years.

The maximum average temperature recorded in the month of January was 17.7 degrees, like the year 2015 and the lowest after 2023. The air quality was also recorded as poor.

To keep themselves safe from the severe cold in Delhi and its surrounding areas, people are taking help of bonfires at various places. On Tuesday it was cloudy and there was no sunlight, due to which the cold was felt even more.

The situation on Wednesday in Delhi-NCR is no different in terms of cold. Along with cold wave, the condition is worse due to fog and mist. It is becoming difficult to see even two steps in open areas.

Along with severe cold, dense fog was seen in Delhi-NCR in the month of January. According to the Meteorological Department, cold and fog in the capital in January broke the record of the last 21 years.

This year in the month of January there were five days of cold wave and five days of cold days. When the minimum temperature is less than four and a half degrees, it is called a cold wave condition, whereas when the minimum temperature is below 10 degrees and the maximum temperature is four and a half degrees less than normal, it is called a cold day.
