Before the JNU Students Union elections, once again news of clash between two groups is coming to the fore.

There was a clash between Left and ABVP during the "University General Body Meeting" organized by all the student organizations in JNU, in which some students were also injured. In a video related to the clash, the current student union president of JNU is seen arguing with other students.

Regarding the clash, ABVP said, "Organized the all-party university general body meeting today, which was held at Sabarmati Maidan at 9:30 pm. First of all, the leftist JNUSU used casteist abuses at the mic and sound workers... because they were not wanted ABVP to participate in UGBM. On this the workers felt insulted and stepped back. However, ABVP workers talked to them and asked them not to take the mic and sound.

When Left led parties (AISA, SFI , DSF and many others) saw that UGBM would be there anyhow, then they tried to harass GBM. Eventually, they started beating ABVP workers. They also did not spare the disabled students who were supporters of ABVP. "Many ABVP supporters and students have also been injured."

At the same time, NSUI said that ABVP has seriously weakened the democratic spirit within our campus.

The alleged involvement of some individuals associated with ABVP in promoting disruptive tactics raises serious questions about their commitment to fostering an inclusive and democratic environment. These actions not only hinder the free exchange of ideas, but also contribute to an environment of fear and intimidation, thereby suppressing the diverse voices that thrive within our academic community. As an advocate of democratic values, NSUI strongly condemns any attempt to suppress opposing views through force or coercion.
