Threatening e-mails have been sent to more than 100 schools in Delhi and Noida on Wednesday. It has been said in this mail that bombs have been planted in these schools. After receiving information about the e-mail received by the schools, various agencies including Delhi Police have started investigation. Parents and relatives are arriving to pick up their children from school, due to which a jam-like situation has arisen on the roads of Delhi. However, nothing suspicious has been found in the schools that have been investigated so far. On this the Home Ministry says that there is no need to panic. It appears that this is a fake call. Delhi Police and security agencies are taking necessary steps as per protocol.

Lieutenant Governor of Delhi Vinay Saxena said, after talking to the Police Commissioner, he has asked for a detailed report on the bomb threat in the schools of Delhi-NCR. Delhi Police has been directed to conduct a thorough search of the school premises, identify the culprits and ensure that no lapses occur.

Saxena today said the police have traced the origin of the hoax bomb emails sent to nearly 100 schools in Delhi and the National Capital Region (NCR). It took some time for the police to trace the email's origin as it was sent using a virtual private network (VPN) that routed and rerouted data via foreign servers. The police managed to narrow down on the internet protocol (IP) address - a unique identifier - after retracing the VPN traffic and found the source of the email, sources said.

Officials said that Mother Mary School in Mayur Vihar area, Delhi Public School in Dwarka, Sanskriti School in Chanakyapuri, Delhi Public School in Vasant Kunj, Amity School in Saket and Delhi Public School in Noida Sector 30 were sent an email regarding the bomb on their premises. Threatened to be laid off. Delhi Police officials said that all the schools were evacuated and the local police was informed about the email. A police official said that the bomb detection team, bomb disposal squad and Delhi Fire Service officials immediately reached the schools in Delhi and the search operation is going on.

On the other hand, after receiving information about bombs in schools, Delhi Minister Atishi has posted on social media site X.

He has written in this post that cases of bomb threats have come to light in many schools of Delhi. These schools have been evacuated for the time being. Police are currently investigating inside the school. Nothing suspicious has been found in the schools that have been investigated so far. We request parents not to panic.

Police said, "This is a prank, a mail has been sent to all the schools on such a large scale to spread panic. The cyber cell unit is also trying to trace the email and IP address." It is noteworthy that in February, a similar bomb threat was received at Delhi Police School in RK Puram, which later turned out to be a hoax.
