Allegedly upset over their molestation, two minor cousins committed suicide in Pratapgarh district of Rajasthan.

The incident took place in Ghanthali police station area of Pratapgarh district. Both the sisters were students of class 12th of the government school of Pipalkhunt police station area of the district.

Police Station Officer Sohanlal said that both the sisters (14 and 16 years old) lived in Pipalkhunt police station area, 15 kilometers away from their home. It was alleged that four boys had been harassing them for the past several days on their way to their school.

The father of one of the victims said that his niece and daughter were returning from school when they were kidnapped by the boys and taken to a place named Nakoda in Pratapgarh city.

The accused later left them at a secluded place. When the people nearby saw both of them, they gave them water to drink. After taking information about the girls' families, the people present at the spot called their parents.

He said that both of them had consumed poison on Saturday. When we woke up in the morning, we found both of them unconscious near their house. They were rushed to the district hospital of Pratapgarh. When the condition of the 16 year old minor became critical, she was referred to Udaipur. She also died on the way 15 minutes after leaving from Pratapgarh.

Police officer Sohanlal said that four boys have been detained in this case. Of these, one is an adult and the remaining three are minors. Strict action will be taken against the accused.

After the incident, Ghatol MLA Harendra Ninama and BJP Mahila Morcha district president Sunaina Hapavat and other officials met the victim's family. The MLA demanded the government to give Rs 1 crore and a government job to the victim's family. He also warned of agitation if the demands are not met.
