Tractor trolley with devotees falls into the pond in Kasganj, 24 people died

A major road accident has occurred in Kasganj district of Uttar Pradesh. At around 10 am in the morning, a tractor trolley filled with devotees went out of control and fell into the pond on the Patiali-Dariavganj road. The tractor trolley overturned after going into the pond. In which most of the devotees got buried. More than 24 people have died so far in this accident.

Many seriously injured devotees are being treated in the district hospital and some have been referred. There is an atmosphere of chaos from the incident site to the district hospital. DM, SP and other administrative and police officers have reached the spot. Relief and rescue work is being done. There is an uproar in the families.

CMO Dr. Rajeev Aggarwal said that seven children and eight women have been declared dead at the CHC of Patiali. Along with this, five more were declared dead. The other injured who were brought to the district hospital by ambulance are undergoing tests. There is a possibility of the death toll increasing.

According to local people, the accident happened due to speed. Due to driver losing control, the tractor went off the road and fell into the pond. These people were going to take bath in the Ganga at Kadarganj Ghat in Kasganj in a tractor-trolley on Maghi Purnima, when the accident happened near Gadhai village on Riavganj Patiali road.

At the same time, there is silence in Jaithra village after the death of 24 people. The people of the village have reached their homes where someone has died. Sounds of crying are heard in the happy village.
