Terror model module busted, 3 ISI terrorists arrested with weapons
A large quantity of weapons have been recovered from the captured terrorists. Police have registered the case and started investigation.
Punjab Police has achieved great success. The Counter Intelligence Wing of Punjab Police has arrested three people linked to the ISI-controlled Pakistan-based terror module. It is being told that these terrorists were sent to spoil the atmosphere in Punjab. Director General of Police Gaurav Yadav gave this information on Wednesday.
A large quantity of weapons have been recovered from the captured terrorists. Police have registered the case and started investigation.
Director General of Police Gaurav Yadav said that eight weapons, nine magazines and 30 cartridges have been recovered from the possession of the terrorists. He said preliminary investigation revealed that the accused were in contact with people currently lodged in Sangrur jail under UAPA cases.
The counter-intelligence team of Punjab Police has arrested three people in Bathinda who were linked to a Pakistan-based terror module. Rajbhupinder Singh, Raman Kumar and Jagjit Singh were in touch with three accused on terror related charges lodged in Sangrur jail. It is being told that they were planning to target unknown religious figures.
Pakistan has been trying to push arms, ammunition and militants into the country for the past several years. In recent days several militants associated with Pak based militant outfits like Jaish-e-Mohammed, Lashkar-e-Tayaba (LeT) and others were killed in Jammu & Kashmir.
Security personnel have been able to eliminate many terrorists in Jammu and Kashmir in the past few months.
