Tanker driver beaten to death in road rage in Maharashtra, four arrested

In a shocking incident, a tanker driver was allegedly beaten to death in Palghar district of Maharashtra in an incident of road rage.

The incident happened on the Mumbai-Ahmedabad highway in Palghar district of Maharashtra. In this incident, four people allegedly beat the 40-year-old driver of a tanker to death with sticks and iron rods. The fight took place because the tanker driver's vehicle collided with his car. The officer gave this information on Wednesday.

Giving information, a police officer said that the incident took place on the morning of October 1. The victim, Ramkishore Badriprasad Kushwaha, had recorded the act of the accused beating him and damaging his vehicle on his mobile camera and sent the clip to his relative. The recorded video helped the police. Two days later, all four accused were traced and arrested.

Naigaon police station official said that the victim lived in Nalasopara, Palghar. The tanker carried gas and was on its way to Gujarat. When the vehicle reached Maljipada in the district, it accidentally collided with a car on the highway. Angered by this, the people traveling in the car got out and stopped the tanker. They started beating its driver with sticks and iron rods and also damaged his vehicle with stones.

Giving further details, the officer said that the victim kept telling him that he would compensate him for whatever damage was caused to his car, but the accused refused to listen to him and beat him mercilessly. He recorded a video clip of this act with his mobile camera and sent it to his nephew.

Later the victim's nephew reached the spot and took him to the hospital. The victim was declared dead at the hospital. The nephew also handed over the video sent to him by his deceased uncle to the police. The car number of the accused persons is clearly visible in the video, which helped the police trace them, the officer said.
