Student preparing for NEET kills self in Kota, 28 students have committed suicide so far this year

After a brief lull, another case of suicide of coaching student in Kota has once again come to light.

A student preparing for NEET in Kota committed suicide. Forid Hussain, who died by suicide, was a resident of West Bengal. He lived in a rented room in the Waqf Nagar area of the city. Late in the evening he hanged himself in his room. He was taken to a private hospital. Where the doctor checked and declared him dead. The body has been shifted to the mortuary of MBS Hospital.

Dadabari police station CI Rajesh Pathak said that Forid was preparing for NEET from a private coaching while living in a rented house. Other students also lived in the house. The students saw him till 4 pm. When he did not come out of the room by 7 pm, his friends called out, but Forid did not open the gate after which they informed the landlord.

This year, the state government has also taken important steps regarding coaching students in Kota and has issued guidelines for coaching institutes on 3rd October, under which children can be kept stress free and can be prepared for competitive exams. The district administration should also ensure that the rules are followed. Instructions have been issued for. Amidst following the guidelines, there was a pause for a few days in the cases of suicide of Nazar coaching students. But once again another coaching student took suicidal steps.

At present, the reasons for suicide are being investigated but so far this year, 28 students have committed suicide, which is a scary figure compared to previous years.
