An Indian bus carrying tourists from Gorakhpur in Uttar Pradesh to Nepal fell into a river in Tanahun district between Pokhara and Kathmandu on Friday. The death toll in this accident has risen to 41. The deceased include bus driver Murtaza, who was a resident of Gorakhpur. All the tourists are said to be from Maharashtra. The tourists had boarded the bus booked from Gorakhpur from Allahabad. The bus went to Nepal via Chitrakoot. DSP Deepkumar Rai said that the bus numbered UP FT 7623 has fallen into the river in which many people are feared dead. He said that this accident happened when the bus was going from Pokhara to Kathmandu.

An Indian passenger bus carrying 50 people fell into the Marsyangdi river in Tanahun district of Nepal. According to the Indian Embassy, ​​41 people are reported to have died in this road accident. The death toll may increase further.

Indian Embassy released emergency relief number

The Indian Embassy has given this information and expressed condolences on the death of the passengers and wished for the speedy recovery of the injured. The embassy said that 16 passengers injured in this unfortunate accident have been airlifted to Kathmandu for treatment at Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital. The Indian Embassy Nepal is in constant touch with the local authorities and hospital staff to treat the injured and send the bodies of the deceased to India as soon as possible. The Indian Embassy has set up emergency relief numbers which are functional 24 hours.
