Rajasthan teacher rapes minor student

In a shocking incident, a teacher in a government school at a village in Ratangarh police station area of Churu district of Rajasthan allegedly raped a 12-year-old class 7 student at the school in the school bathroom.

According to the police sources, a case under IPC and POCSO sections has been registered against the accused government teacher Madanlal Meghwal at Ratangarh police station.

Ratangarh police station officer CI Subhash Bijaraniyan said that Madanlal Meghwal, a teacher at a government school here, raped a seventh-class student by taking her to the school bathroom.

The victim initially did not report the incident fearing social humiliation but when her health deteriorated further on Saturday, her family enquired about the reasons and then she narrated the entire incident.

On getting information about the incident, the shocked family members took the girl to Ratangarh district hospital and also informed the police.

On receiving information about the incident, CI Subhash Bijaraniyan reached the district hospital and spoke to the girl and the family members about the incident, police said. The student has been admitted to the hospital. She is undergoing treatment there.

The victim told the police that two days ago, school teacher Madanlal Meghwal took her to the bathroom, where he raped her. At the same time, a teacher made him do a sit-up. After the incident the victim remained silent out of fear. But when the pain became too much, she narrated to her family members her plight.

According to the police, the medical examination of the student will be done by the medical board. The victim's father has given a written report to the police regarding the incident. A case has been registered against the accused and the matter was being investigated.
