Kushinagar: In a horrific incident, a man’s eye was ‘plucked out’ after he barred a trespasser from entering a mango grove under Ramkola police station in Kushinagar district of Uttar Pradesh on Sunday.

“Brijraj was guarding our mango grove at around 1800 hours when one Gorakh attempted to intrude into it. A brawl was ignited between the two after Brijraj noticed him trespassing on the property. The intruder left the field at that point of time but, he returned later at night with his friend Nandlal when Brijraj was asleep. They eventually grabbed him and plucked out his eye,” said the victim’s brother.

  • The victim’s brother said he found him lying in a pool of blood when he went to the grove the other morning.
  • According his brother, Brijlal was unconscious and his eye was lying beneath his bed at the mango field.
  • Brijlal was rushed to a local hospital.
  • Police arrested Gorakh after a First Information Report (FIR) was lodged against him.
  • An investigation was underway.
