Man kills mother to pay debt accumulated from online gaming

In a shocking incident, a man killed his mother in Fatehpur district in Uttar Pradesh just because he wanted to pay off the debt he had incurred while playing online gaming.

Police investigation revealed that the man knew that the insurance was in his mother's name. He felt that if he killed his mother, he would be able to pay off his debt with the money he received from the insurance company after her death. After getting information about the incident, the police have currently arrested this person. The accused person has been identified as Himanshu.

Initial investigation by the police has revealed that the accused had the habit of playing online games. He became so addicted to it that he even took a loan and started investing money on online games. Days passed and his debt burden increased. There came a time when he came to know that he had borrowed Rs 4 lakh from other people. After this, he stole jewelery from his aunt's house and later got his guardian insured for Rs 50 lakh with the money he got after selling the jewelery.

Police investigation revealed that the accused man strangled his mother to death when his father had gone out of the house for some work. After this, he kept his mother's body in a jute sack and loaded it on a tractor and went to the banks of Yamuna river. So that he can dispose of that dead body.

Himanshu's father Roshan Singh had gone to Chitrakoot temple at the time of the incident. When he returned, he did not find his wife and son at home. He asked around and then went towards his brother's house in the same area. No one knew where Prabha was. Then a neighbor told that he had seen Himanshu on a tractor near the river.

A senior police officer said that the police were informed and the body was recovered from near Yamuna. Soon after Himanshu was also arrested.

He told that he conspired to murder his mother so that he could collect the insurance money in her name. And later he can also pay off his debt. The officer said that the accused son was running away after killing his mother. We caught him and exposed this horrific crime.
