A Kashmiri conman, pretending to be a PMO official and some other identities, married a total of 6 women.

Sometimes this accused called himself a neurosurgeon, sometimes an army doctor and sometimes a senior NIA officer. However, this person is neither an officer nor a doctor, he is a professional conman, who married different women by deceiving them.

A man from Kupwara, Kashmir has been arrested in Odisha for cheating people by hiding his identity. He changed his identity from time to time and posed as all of the above professions and then some more.

Odisha Police Special Task Force (STF) arrested 37-year-old Sayad Ishan Bukhari alias Ishan Bukhari alias Dr Ishan Bukhari from Neulpur village in Odisha yesterday on charges of cheating people.

STF Inspector General JN Pankaj said the man with multiple fake identities allegedly had links with several people from Pakistan and some suspicious people from Kerala. However, till now the police have not found his connection with Pakistan's spy agency Inter Services Intelligence (ISI).

He forged documents to show that he had a medical degree certificate from Cornell University, a top Ivy League college in the US. To cement his identity as a doctor, the fraudster also obtained certificates from the Canadian Institute of Health Services and Christian Medical College in Tamil Nadu.

Police investigation revealed that the swindler's plan was to keep international degrees, affidavits, bonds, ATM cards, blank cheques, Aadhaar cards and visiting cards to create a new identity to defraud people. In the raid conducted on the basis of secret information received by the STF team, the police recovered more than 100 documents and many objectionable materials.

Pankaj said that the man with multiple identities married at least six women from different parts of the country including Uttar Pradesh, Maharashtra, Odisha, Kashmir etc. and had romantic relationships with many more women. He was active on many websites and apps and used his identity to defraud people.
