IED explodes in Dantewada, Chhattisgarh, two CRPF soldiers injured

Naxalites have carried out IED blast while counting of votes for Chhattisgarh Assembly elections. Two CRPF soldiers have been injured due to this explosion.

According to the information received from CRPF, early in the morning two soldiers of battalion number 195 were removing posters of Naxalites. During this time, the IED planted by the Naxalites exploded and the soldiers got injured due to it. These soldiers are undergoing treatment at the nearest health centre.

A media person has also been injured in this IED attack by Naxalites. The fortunate thing is that the condition of all the soldiers and media persons is out of danger. The Naxalites had already issued a press note saying that they will celebrate PLGA Week till December 8 in the memory of 54 Naxalites.

Even during the last phase of assembly elections, there was a Naxalite attack on the CRPF team in Dhamtari. CRPF and DRG soldiers riding on bikes had a narrow escape in the IED blast attacks carried out one after the other.

Earlier also the Naxalites had detonated several explosives in the troubled regions of Chhattisgarh killing security personnel. The police and the paramilitary forces have launched operations to eliminate the Naxalites from the state and they have succeeded in neutralising some key leaders of the Naxalite outfits.
