A case of alleged gang rape of a 16-year-old girl has come to light in the online metaverse. British police are investigating the first case of alleged rape in a virtual reality game. A senior official associated with the case said the girl experienced psychological trauma similar to that of someone who was allegedly physically raped. The emotional and psychological effects will last longer on the victim than any physical injury. The officer said this case poses many challenges for law enforcement as there is no provision for it in the existing law.
