ABC News quoted the Kansas City Fire Brigade Department as saying that the firing incident occurred after the Super Bowl final parade and rally. According to officials, the condition of three people is critical, while the condition of others is serious. One person has suffered life-threatening injuries, officials gave this information.

This was the team's third NFL championship celebration in five years. However, the celebrations were disrupted after the firing incident. Several people were shot near Union Station during the team's rally. Speaking to Kansas City ABC affiliate KMBC, a woman said that when the shots rang out, "We went to an elevator, we closed the doors, sat there and started praying."

"There was so much screaming, we didn't know if it was safe to go out, so we tried to close the doors," the woman said. "We heard the elevator moving, so we opened the doors and ran out." "There were officers there." The woman said, "I have never been so happy to see an officer in my life."

According to an ABC News report, officials said they were trying to rescue everyone inside Union Station. Police said, "We ask that people exit the area as quickly and safely as possible and avoid the parking garage to facilitate the treatment of shooting victims."
