Fake cigarette selling racket busted in Indore

A big syndicate selling fake cigarettes was busted in Indore, the financial capital of Madhya Pradesh. Cigarettes of more than 10 companies have been seized from here in the police raid.

Police have taken action against two people doing business of fake cigarettes in Indore city of Madhya Pradesh. In this case, cigarette traders Sanjay Kelwani and Bhagwan Das Mangwani have been arrested by Juni Indore Police. They are accused of illegally selling fake cigarettes of many big companies in this area.

In fact, when the area manager of ITC company investigated the decrease in sales in the area, he came to know that fake cigarettes of his company were being sold on a large scale here. When information about this was received, they took action against the accused with the help of the police. During this, fake cigarettes worth Rs 4 lakh were seized from the possession of the accused.

Giving information about this case, Sub Inspector Vishnu Neelkanth said that the Crime Branch and Juni Indore Police along with the Area Manager of ITC Cigarette Company took joint action against two accused who were running a Pan Masala shop near the Collector Office of Indore.

During this time, the area manager of ITC declared the brands of cigarettes K10, A10, Gold Steak Golden Color, Midway and others kept at the Pan Masala shop as fake, on the basis of which the police seized cigarettes worth Rs 4 lakh. Sathi police have also seized banned go go paper from the shop of pan masala businessman. Let us tell you that to prevent drug trade in the state, the police had recently banned Gogo Paper. Despite this, pan masala shop operators were selling these papers indiscriminately.
