Enraged over daughter's death, parents burn down in-laws' house, two dead

According to the police sources, the dead body of a married woman was found hanging inside her room in Mutthiganj area in Prayagraj late on Monday night.

In a shocking incident, the parents of a woman, who had allegedly died by suicide, set ablaze the house of her in laws killing two people. According to the police sources, the dead body of a married woman was found hanging inside her room in Mutthiganj area in Prayagraj late on Monday night. As soon as the family members got the news of the dead body of the married woman being found under suspicious circumstances, they reached her in-laws' house and started creating ruckus. Not only this, the parents locked the in-laws in their house and set the house on fire. Pashchila Kesarwani, resident of Jhalwa, Dhumanganj, was married to Anshu of Mutthiganj on 13 February 2023. Anshika's family members say that either Anshika was killed and hanged or she committed suicide due to depression.

After around 10:30 pm on Monday night, Anshika's family got a call from her in-laws and were informed about the death of their daughter. When Anshika's family members reached the spot and somehow opened the door. Anshika Kesarwani's body was present inside the room. There was chaos among the family members after seeing the dead body. Created a huge uproar by accusing him of murder. It is alleged that the in-laws had also called outsiders to the spot. Due to which the matter went further. Meanwhile, at 12 o'clock in the night someone set the lower part of the house on fire. Within no time the fire spread throughout the house.

The statement of Prayagraj's DCP City, Deepak Bhukar has come out on this incident. According to the statement, the police had received a call at 11 pm that a woman named Anshika Kesarwani had committed suicide. Both parents and in-laws were present on the occasion. When the police team arrived, people from both sides were fighting among themselves. During this time, the maternal side set fire to the in-laws' house. The police rescued 5 people from the house and the fire brigade was informed. The fire brigade team reached the spot and controlled the fire. After the fire was brought under control, when the entire house was searched at 3 am, two dead bodies were found, one of Rajendra Kesarwani, the girl's father-in-law, and the other of Shobha Devi, the girl's mother-in-law. At present, both these bodies have also been sent by the police for post-mortem.
