Before the announcement of Lok Sabha elections, news of Police Naxalite Encounter has come out in Kanker, Chhattisgarh. Soldiers have killed a uniformed Naxalite in an encounter in the forest of Kaknar. The soldiers have recovered weapons and other materials including the body of the killed Maoist from the spot.

Actually, the police is alert in view of the Lok Sabha elections. Continuous operations are being conducted against Naxalites in the area. In this series, a joint party of DRG and BSF had left for Naxal operation from Camp Chilparas in Koyalibera police station area. Meanwhile, on Saturday at around 11:30 pm, an encounter took place between the police party and Nixalites in the forest of village Kakanar. In this long encounter between both the sides, a uniformed Maoist was killed by the soldiers. On searching the area, the body of the slain Naxalite, a sten gun, explosives and other material were recovered. Even now the search is going on in the surrounding area by police force, BSF, DRG. In this case, the police is likely to share detailed information related to the encounter with the RO.

In fact, as the elections approach, the campaign against Naxalites has intensified. Based on information about the presence of Maoists, a team of soldiers is scanning the forests. In this series, in the encounter that took place on Saturday, the soldiers had received information about the presence of big cadre Maoists, under which the soldiers conducted this operation and they also got success. The soldiers have killed the uniformed Maoist. At present, the slain Maoist has not been identified, but it is being speculated that the slain Maoist may be a big cadre Naxalite.

After the formation of the government, the soldiers are fighting face to face with the Maoists in the forests. Till date in the month of March, a total of 5 Maoists have been killed by the soldiers. However, in the encounter that took place in Hidur forest on March 3, a soldier of Bastar Fighter, Ramesh Kureti, was definitely martyred. Despite this, the morale of the soldiers did not weaken.
