As many as 500 people were killed in the attack on a Gaza hospital on Tuesday night, claimed Hamas, the terrorist organisation which had attacked Israel earlier this month killing hundreds of Israelis and kidnapping many others.

According to the reports the people present in the hospital premises were already injured and displaced. A Hamas spokesman said that there was a lot of anger among the people after the attack allegedly by Israel.

The Israeli army says, "We have from inputs from multiple sources which indicate that Islamic Jihad is responsible for the attack on the Gaza hospital." Spokesman Daniel Hagari told a press conference that Israel was not conducting any air operations near the Gaza hospital at the time of the attack and that the rockets used in the attack did not match their equipment.

US President Joe Biden is going to Israel today. After the attack on Gaza hospital, he spoke to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. Joe Biden said in a statement, "I am outraged and saddened by the explosion at Gaza's Al-Ahli Arab hospital and the terrible loss of life it caused." Biden has cancelled his visit to Jordan.

United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres strongly condemned the deadly airstrike on the Gaza hospital, calling it a terrible attack. Antonio Guterres posted on Twitter: "Mother, my thoughts are with the families of the victims. Hospitals and medical workers are protected under international humanitarian law."

There is a lot of anger among the people after the attack on Gaza hospital. Hundreds of people protested outside the embassies of Britain and France in Tehran, Iran. Following the attack, Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi declared a day of "public mourning" and blamed Israel and its ally America for the attack.

Raisi said, "The flames of the American-Israeli bombs dropped on the injured Palestinian victims in the Gaza hospital will soon incinerate the Jews." Protests are also being held in the Middle East and North Africa regarding the Gaza attack.
