In Thane, adjacent to Mumbai, neighbors kidnapped and murdered a 9-year-old child. According to police sources, the accused needed money to build a house, hence they kidnapped the son of a businessman living in their own area. After this, a ransom of Rs 23 lakh was demanded from the child's father. But fearing being caught, they killed 9-year-old Ibad Bubure and hid his body in a sack behind the house.

The incident took place in Goregaon of Badlapur. As soon as 9 year old Ibad came out of the mosque after offering evening prayers, he was kidnapped. When Ibad did not reach home, the family started searching for him. Then Ibad's father Muddasir got a call, the caller said that if you want your son alive then give him Rs 23 lakh in return. After this the caller's phone got switched off.

Muddasir informed the police about this. By that time the news of Ibad's disappearance had spread throughout the village. Both the police and the villagers were together searching for Ibad.

Then the kidnapper inserted another SIM card in his mobile phone and tried to make a call. Only then the police came to know his location. Police searched the house of a youth named Salman Maulvi living in the same village. During this time, Ibad's body was found in a sack behind the house. In this case, the police have detained five people including Salman, Safuyan. The police is investigating the role of the family members in this case.

FIR has been registered in this case and Salman has been made the main accused. Thane (Rural) SP DS Swamy said that all the accused in this case are in our custody and we are investigating the matter further.
