Man rapes step daughter in Ajmer

In a shocking incident reflective of declining moral standards in the society, a man, in Ajmer district of Rajasthan, allegedly raped his step daughter.

According to the police sources, the man, a resident of Nasirabad area in the district, sexually assaulted his 15-year-old step daughter repeatedly in the past three months.

The matter came to light, when the minor victim became pregnant after which she approached the cops and lodged a complaint against her father.

Police sources said that the minor victim’s mother had been divorced by her first husband and after that she married the accused a few years back. The couple, however, had differences and they started living separately. The victim chose to stay with her step father.

The victim said in her complaint that her father forced her to sleep with him and had been sexually assaulting her for the past three months. He also threatened her with dire consequences if she dared to approach her mother or the cops. The accused also told the victim that he would kill her mother if she narrated anything to her, sources said.

The matter came to light after the victim became pregnant and later miscarried during her periods. She later narrated her ordeal to her mother. The mother-daughter duo then decided to approach the police and lodge a complaint in this regard.

Police said that a case was registered against the accused person, who was absconding. A hunt was launched to nab the culprit. The victim was sent for medical examination, the police added.

The mother o the victim has demanded stern punishment to the accused and said that such people should be given strict punishment so that the others did not dare do such things to their own daughters and other women.
