An engineering student died by suicide in Bengaluru allegedly after being harrassed by an an online loan-giving app agent. The deceased has been identified as 22-year-old Tejas Nair. The student was being pressured to repay the loan he had taken from online app.

He left a suicide note and saying sorry to his mother and father.

"Sorry Mom and dad for everything I did, but I have no other choice. I am unable to pay off other loans taken in my name and this is my final decision. Good-bye...", the suicide note said.

He had borrowed money from an online loan-giving app. He had not paid his EMI last month. According to his father Gopinath Nair, Tejas had earlier borrowed money from his cousins and used the app to repay them.

He gave the borrowed money to his friend and did not pay the EMI, that is why he was being harrassed through the agent.
