England’s massive loss to South Africa in the 20th match of the World Cup 2023 has completely changed the point table in the championship.

Now the England team has reached 9th position in the points table. South Africa had defeated England by 229 runs.

Sri Lanka had won its match against Netherlands, which was Lanka's first win in this World Cup. After the defeat of England at the hand of South Africa, Australia has reached the top 4.

At present, New Zealand is at number one while Indian team is at number two. India and New Zealand will meet today at Dharmshala and whichever team wins this match will reach the first position in the points table. Both teams have won 4 out of 4 matches so far.

South African team is present at number three. Australia is at number four. Pakistan team is present at fifth number. After this, Bangladesh is at number six, Netherlands at number 7 and Sri Lanka at number eight. England is at number 9 and Afghanistan is currently at the last position.

Incidentally this is the first time after the 1992 World Cup that all the teams have been successful in winning at least one match. That means, this time 10 teams are playing in the World Cup and all the teams have been successful in winning at least one match in their share.

While no prediction about the semi-final line up has been made so far, it seems that the World Cup 2023 may throw some surprises.
