Signalling truce with Rajasthan chief minister Ashok Gehlot, former deputy CM Sachin Pilot has said that he was asked by the Congress high command to forget old things and move ahead.

Pilot, who is contesting from Tonk Assembly seat, said that the party was united and expressed confidence that the Congress would return to power in the state.

Pilot is campaigning vigorously for the Congress Party in this election. He said that he was focusing on elections. Pilot claimed that the Congress Party is going to form the government in Rajasthan again.

On his old dispute with Ashok Gehlot, Pilot said, "It is a thing of the past... We met Congress chief Mallikarjun Kharge and Rahul Gandhi... The party took cognizance of my concerns." The party high command told me to forgive, forget and move ahead.

Pilot said, "My focus now is on working together... There is no personal enmity with anyone. We have not won elections continuously in Rajasthan for 30 years. Why? We need to introspect on this."

Earlier in July also, Sachin Pilot had talked with Rajasthan CM Ashok Gehlot about forgetting differences and statements and forgiving each other. "If it happens even a little here and there, it is not a big issue. Because the party and the people are more important than any individual.,’’ he had said.

Pilot claimed that Congress will come back to power in Rajasthan. He said, "Our party is energetic. We have never won Rajasthan elections consecutively. Now our effort is to break this cycle. We are well prepared to do so. A change in the public mood is being seen. "

He also targeted BJP over its statement about double engine government. He said, "Double engine...double engine. What kind of double engine?" "One engine failed in Himachal Pradesh... the other failed in Karnataka," Pilot said in a scathing attack on BJP's promise while thundering at a rally. Pilot said, "Congress is confident of positive results in Rajasthan."
