Lokesh Sharma, the OSD of the outgoing Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot, has blamed the latter for Congress’ defeat in the state assembly poll.

Sharma, in a post, said that- "I am definitely hurt by the results, but not surprised. Congress party could undoubtedly have changed the tradition in Rajasthan but Ashok Gehlot ji never wanted any change. This is not the defeat of Congress but of Ashok Gehlot ji. The party fought the elections under his leadership, giving Gehlot a free hand. Neither his experience nor magic worked and like every time Congress did not win with the help of his plans nor did the immense pink campaign work.

Sharma said, "While being the CM for the third consecutive time, Gehlot again brought the party to the margins. Till date he has only taken from the party but Gehlot has never been able to bring the party back to power in his lifetime.. Cheating with the high command, not allowing correct feedback to reach the top, not allowing anyone to become an alternative, immature and for his own benefit. Being surrounded by well-connected people, constantly taking wrong decisions and taking decisions out of narcissism, ignoring all feedback and surveys, insisting on giving tickets to their favorite candidates as per their wish and despite their clear defeat.

He has said, "I travelled continuously for six months, went to the towns-villages-dhanis of Rajasthan, met people, organized dialogue programs with thousands of youth, covered about 127 assembly constituencies and gave ground reports to the CM. Brought it. The ground reality was presented without any hesitation so that decisions could be taken by taking corrective steps on time, which would ensure the party's comeback... I myself had expressed my desire to contest the elections, first from Bikaner and then on the request of the CM, from Bhilwara. From, the seat which we were losing for 20 years, but could not do this new experiment. For BD Kalla ji, I had told 6 months ago that he would lose the election by more than 20 thousand votes and the same thing happened. Decisions were taken on Ashok Gehlot ji's part in such a way that alternatives could not be prepared...''

He said, "The incident of September 25 was also completely sponsored when contempt was committed by rebelling against the high command and the game had started from that very day’’.
