Congress Party has released a new list of 16 Lok Sabha candidates. Also, names of five candidates have been announced for Gujarat Assembly by-election. According to the list released by Congress, Vikramaditya Singh has been fielded against BJP candidate Kangana Ranaut in Mandi and Manish Tiwari has been fielded from Chandigarh. Vinod Sultanpuri has been made the candidate from Shimla.

Apart from this, Ramji Thakor from Mehsana in Gujarat, Himmatsingh Patel from Ahmedabad East, Pareshbhai Dhannani from Rajkot, Naishadh Desai from Navasari have got tickets.

Congress has fielded Mohan Hembram from Keonjhar, Shrikant Kumar Jena from Balasore, Anant Prasad Sethi from Bhadrak, Anchal Das from Jajpur, Sushmita Behera from Dhenkanal, Siddharth Swaroop Das from Kendrapara, Ravindra Kumar Sethi from Jagatsinghpur, Sucharita Mohanty from Puri and Yasir Nawaz from Bhubaneswar. Has been declared a candidate.

Besides, Congress has also announced candidates for the by-elections to be held on five seats of Gujarat Assembly. Dineshbhai Tulsidas Patel has been made the candidate from Vijapur assembly seat, Rajubhai Bhimanbhai Odedara from Porbandar, Mahendrasingh Harisingh Parmar from Manavadar and Kanubhai Poojabhai Gohil from Waghodia.

Voting for 543 Lok Sabha seats will be held on April 19, April 26, May 7, May 13, May 20, May 25 and June 1. 102 seats in the first phase on April 19, 89 seats in the second phase on April 26, 94 seats in the third phase on May 7, 96 seats in the fourth phase on May 13, 49 seats in the fifth phase on May 20, sixth phase on May 25. Voting will be held on 57 seats and in the seventh and final phase on June 1, voting will be held on 57 seats. The results will be declared on June 4.
