After the crushing defeat of Congress in Madhya Pradesh Assembly Elections, the blame has fallen on State President Kamal Nath.

According to sources, the party has asked him to leave the post of state president. It is noteworthy that Kamal Nath was the President of Madhya Pradesh Congress for a long time. Besides, he was also the face of the Chief Minister from the party side. However, the Congress party had to face a big defeat in the assembly elections in Madhya Pradesh.

In the election results released on Sunday, BJP won 163 seats and Congress won only 66 seats. BJP gained 57 seats in this election.

Kamal Nath, who led the Congress campaign in the state, took responsibility for the party's dismal performance in the state and said he would "look into why we could not communicate with the voters".

To answer BJP's anti-Hindu allegations, Kamal Nath met sadhus and got idols of deities made. Ahead of the elections, the party's religious programs increased with the formation of a "Religious and Festive Cell". But this provoked a strong reaction not only among Muslims but also among other backward classes, who saw it as caste discrimination.

Kamal Nath's experiment with soft Hindutva also failed. On the other hand MP chief minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan managed to sell his Ladli Scheme to the women. It is believed that the women had voted for the BJP in large numbers in the state leading to the victory of the party.
